Devils Lake Couple Celebrate 70 Years

Glen and Winona Fowler of Lincoln City celebrated their 70th anniversary on December 28, 2011, at the Surfrider Resort in Depoe Bay.
Winona Supemaw married Glen Fowler on December 28, 1941, in Pasadena, Calif. Both Winona and Glen were born in Lincoln, Neb., and moved to Southern California in 1941 where they were married. They lived in Hollywood, Glendale and Van Nuys until 1957 when they moved with their two children to McMinnville, Ore. In 1967, they returned to Southern California (San Gabriel). Following retirement in1983, Glen from Bank of America and Winona from Security Bank, they moved to Salem, Ore. In 2004, they moved to their home that Glen built around 1960 on Devils Lake where they still reside. The Fowlers have two children, Marsha Baker of West Linn, Ore., and Larry Fowler of Gleneden Beach. Their grandchildren are Christine Hill, Angie McNett, Jason Baker, and Keith Fowler. Their great-grandchildren are Spencer Hill, Carter Hill, Brad McNett and Delaney McNett.
